When what you think you want stays out of reach; when things happen that you don’t understand; when the world is in chaos and you feel out of control; what then does it mean when someone says, “it is what it is”?
To ‘let go and trust’ is so alien to many in today’s world, finding it challenging to accept what IS. Often people comment on how ‘foreign’ or ‘eastern’ this concept is. It is not eastern for it is to be found in the teachings of all Great Masters—we have just lost sight of it. Some ask: what is destiny? Then there are those who sit back and expect that destiny will do its work. Destiny is what we make of our lives—and each one of us has that magnificent power, to take up our unique brushes & paint, making our mark on a canvas that records our every moment.
That is what we are here to do; each one of us, heeding our Inner Prompter, making our splash, playing our role, heedless of the audience. We have immense freedom and the more we perform our Truth, the greater freedom we experience. Then where does ‘it is what it is’ fit in?
It is our purpose to experience our fullest potential through positive creation of our truth while in this form. In doing so, we reach higher and higher levels of Consciousness until ultimately attaining full realization and ‘en-lighten-ment’. We each have our integral roles in a greater picture and we must know that only by giving the best of ourselves in every moment and wholeheartedly living our truth can we BE on the right path. We must be detached from any outcome and surrender in trust to Divine Purpose.
Only by heeding our Inner Guidance always, are we able to flow serenely, clearing whatever hurdles might appear along the way, knowing they are all there for a purpose; to be perfected. The Universe reminds us that there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ except as it applies to us and as we climb to higher levels of awareness, greater aspects of the tapestry are revealed—not as a prize for our diligence, but rather as a result of our own expanding Consciousness, and seeing more and more of this great tapestry.
Thus we must recognize our role as crucial and active participants in the great drama of life, that greater picture we cannot at this moment see or make sense of is being created and we must Surrender and Trust, that So It IS.
